Podcast studio prices in Fort Lauderdale range from about $50 to $455 per hour, and most of that gap comes down to one question: who runs the session, and what do you take home at the end of the hour? Below are the price ranges published by studios in Fort Lauderdale and the rest of South Florida, what each level includes, and how to estimate the full cost of an episode.

What does a podcast studio cost per hour in Fort Lauderdale?

A podcast studio in Fort Lauderdale costs about $50 to $455 per hour. Self-serve rooms, where you run the gear yourself, sit at the low end. Multi-camera studios with a technician or a full crew cost about $120 to $285 per hour. Packages that include a finished edit cost about $200 to $455 per hour. These ranges come from the prices each studio lists on its own website, checked on October 3, 2026.

Prices change often, and the same studio can list different prices on a marketplace. In early October 2026, The AV Club was listed at $90 per hour on Peerspace and $100 for the first hour on its own site, while Epic was $110 on Peerspace and $100 on its site. Check the studio's own booking page before you decide.

What is included at each price level?

The hourly price buys a different product at each level, so compare what you leave with, not the number.

  • Self-serve rooms ($50 to $100 per hour). You get a treated room, microphones and often one or two cameras. You set levels, press record and watch the time yourself. Good for audio-only shows and people who already know the gear.
  • Crewed multi-camera studios ($120 to $285 per hour). A technician or crew handles cameras, lighting and audio, usually with two to four camera angles. You walk in, sit down and talk. Most studios hand over raw files, and you edit later or pay for editing.
  • Recording with editing ($200 to $455 per hour). The studio records and also delivers an edited episode: camera switching, cleaned-up audio and often graphics. This is the closest thing to "ready to post" without hiring an editor.

What extra costs should you plan for?

The hourly rate is rarely the whole bill. Before you book any studio, check these five items:

  1. Minimum booking time. Podcast HQ lists a two-hour minimum, Grove's set pages list two to four hours, and CPG prices its room from two hours. A $120 rate with a two-hour minimum is a $240 session.
  2. Editing and clips. Editing is often an add-on: The AV Club lists basic editing at $75, Echo Studios adds an edit for $75 (included when you book two hours or more), and Podcast HQ edits from $99 per episode. Short clips cost extra at most studios.
  3. Extra cameras, microphones or guests. More than two guests can mean extra microphones. At The Cast Studio, two more microphones and up to five camera angles can be added for a fee.
  4. Deposits and cancellations. Many studios take a deposit. At The Cast Studio the deposit and all payments are non-refundable, and rescheduling needs at least 72 hours' notice.
  5. First-visit requirements. Invictus requires a one-time $50 guided tour before the first recording. The Cast Studio's tour is free and optional.

Marketplaces charge studios a commission, so the same hour can cost more there. Compare the marketplace listing with the studio's own booking page.

How much does a full episode cost?

Multiply the hourly rate by the time you book, then add anything the package does not include. If each episode fits into one hour of studio time, at The Cast Studio:

  • A solo episode or course module on one camera: $199 with Studio Essentials.
  • A two-person interview with three 4K angles, raw files within 24 hours: $250 with Studio Recording. Budget for editing separately if you need it.
  • The same interview delivered as a finished multicam video: $455 with Studio Recording + Enhanced Edit, with no editor to hire.
  • A monthly series of four edited episodes: 4 × $455 = $1,820 per month.

Long conversations, setup for a larger group or a second episode in the same visit take more studio time, so book the hours you will actually use.

Is renting a studio cheaper than recording at home?

For one-off or occasional episodes, renting usually costs less than buying cameras, lights and audio gear, and the result looks better than a home office. A home setup starts to pay off when you record often and are happy to run the equipment and edit yourself. Many podcasters do both: they record audio at home and book a studio for the video episodes that represent their brand. Our guide to podcast setup and equipment shows what a home setup involves at three levels.

How to get an accurate quote

Ask every studio the same questions, in writing, before you pay a deposit: the minimum booking time and whether setup counts against it, how many camera angles you get and who runs them, when the files arrive and for how long they are stored, whether editing is included, and the deposit, cancellation and rescheduling rules.
