What can I record at The Cast Studio?

You can record short solo episodes, quick reels, course modules, simple interviews, podcasts, business interviews, YouTube videos and multi-camera productions at The Cast Studio, a content creation studio at 801 NE 2nd Ave, Ste 120, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304. All six sets are built around seating (armchairs, a sofa or a wooden table with chairs), so the room suits anyone who talks to a camera or to a guest.

The studio groups the first four under Studio Essentials, with one 4K camera angle, and the last four under Studio Recording, with a full crew and three angles. You bring the idea; the studio brings the set, the cameras, the microphones and the lighting. If your format is different, ask the team whether a set suits it.

Which package fits a creator?

Choose by who will edit: Studio Essentials at $199 per hour if you cut the footage yourself, Studio Recording at $250 if you want a crew and three angles to cut from, or Studio Recording + Enhanced Edit at $455 if you want to publish without opening an editor.

  • Studio Essentials: one 4K camera angle, studio audio, standard lighting and on-site tech assist. The published Studio Essentials package does not list a delivery time or storage period; ask when you book.
  • Studio Recording: $51 more per hour than Essentials for a full crew, three 4K angles, thumbnail and guest photos, behind-the-scenes photos and video, and raw files within 24 hours.
  • Studio Recording + Enhanced Edit: $205 more per hour than Studio Recording for the 4K multicam edit: mastered audio, your logo, lower thirds and name titles. See Enhanced Edit and studio video production.

Can I use a different look for each series?

Yes. You choose one of six sets when you book, and each set has a booking link of its own, so every series can have its own look. A weekly interview show might use the leather armchairs of Studio #1, a lifestyle channel the white sofa of Studio #2, and a personality-driven show the orange wall of Studio #6. Book the same set every time to keep a series recognizable, or switch when the tone changes. The cards below list the formats each set suits, and the six sets page has the full photo galleries.

What do I get for thumbnails and behind-the-scenes content?

Studio Recording and Studio Recording + Enhanced Edit include thumbnail photos, guest photos, and behind-the-scenes photos and videos; the published Studio Essentials package does not list them.

Use the thumbnail photos for the video, the guest photos for a post that introduces a guest and the behind-the-scenes videos for stories about how a series is made.

The studio has a 55-inch display for logo placement during video recordings, so ask the team how to send your logo before the session. Enhanced Edit then puts your logo, lower thirds and name titles into the finished video.

How can one booking cover several pieces of content?

Treat the booking as one block of studio time with a running order: the main piece first, then the shorter pieces while you are still set up and warmed up.

  1. The main piece: the full episode, interview or course module.
  2. The short pieces: a channel intro, quick answers to camera or a reel.
  3. The last minutes: retakes, plus guest and thumbnail photos if your package includes them.

The studio must be vacated at the end of the reserved time. So write the order down before you arrive. Raw files are delivered within 24 hours with the Studio Recording packages. Cut the shorter pieces from those files. Files are stored for 14 days with Studio Recording and 30 days with Studio Recording + Enhanced Edit. The published packages do not list clips cut from your recording, so ask the team what is possible.
